DESCRIPTION:The Trust is delighted to launch the annual “Behind the Walls” event. Join Dr Robin Evetts for an extension of his April 2022 winter talk as we explore the hidden wonders of some houses on South Street. This event is open exclusively to members\, with two tours running; one at 14:30 and another at 16:30 on Sunday\, 9 October 2022. \n  \nSouth Street evolved from the 12th century as one of the two principal streets of St Andrews\, part of Maynard the Fleming’s plan for the new Burgh of St Andrews\, initiated by King David I. Come and hear about the evolution of one of the most important historic streets in Scotland\, see inside some of the houses\, and view some private rear elevations and ‘lang rig’ gardens. \n  \nTickets are available at £10 and booking is essential. DESCRIPTION:St Andrews Play Club presents: ‘So you think you know your history?’\, a series of historically (inaccurate!) themed comedic plays about the history of St Andrews. Laugh and learn about the origins of the city\, the tradition of golf and of the university\, and they’re followed by a drinks reception.
