Fair Work at the St Andrews Preservation Trust

The St Andrews Preservation Trust is committed to providing a fair and inclusive work environment based on positive employment policies and practices, including those set out in the Scottish Government’s Fair Work First policy guidance.

As far as practicable given the size and nature of the organisation, the Trust commits to:

  • Pay at least the real Living Wage
  • Provide employees and volunteers with a means of effective voice
  • Provide opportunities for training and development of staff and volunteers
  • Avoid use of zero hours contracts
  • Offer flexible and family friendly work practices for all workers from day one
  • Oppose the use of ‘fire and rehire’ practice

Note

The Trust regularly reviews, updates and expands the range of its employment and management policies and procedures which to date include several supportive of the above practices such as the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy, Dignity at Work Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, and Grievance Policy.
